Alternatively, you can search using ,today's date, tomorrow's date, the Next 7 days or the next 28 days by clicking on the button altdescbeside the appropriate entry and these dates will be populated into the "Date : From" and "Date : To" boxes for you.. You can still modify those dates if you wish.

Once you have entered your required dates then select OK button to continue

The date selection you have made will appear in red beneath the "When to Go" Link. This will remain a search criteria and continue to be displayed in red until you change it or reset the search

To remove a selection you have previously made then click the remove button in the "When To Go" window

When the Welcome Screen is shown you should make all your required selections for "Which Area", "When to Go" and "What to Do" and then select the search button (Only a selection from "What to Do" must be made before starting the search) . When results of a search are shown then changing any of the three selection criteria will trigger another search

What To Do

You define "What to Do" by selecting either a main or sub-category of activity. The main categories are always displayed in the grey search area.

If you would like to see items from a main category then click on that category and it will turn red.

Within each main category there are a number of sub-categories, if you would like to see items from a sub-category then roll the cursor over the category containing the required sub-category and a window will open containing the sub-categories.

By selecting a main category all items in each sub-category within the category will be included in addition to those items specifically allocated to the main category

Postcode

Your post code is valuable to AllAboutGoingOut.com as it gives us your location which enables us to give you Events and Activities in a sequence that are closest to you.

It also enables us to calculate and display how far you are from each entry and to give you directions on how to get there.

This will then be stored on your computer (if you have cookies enabled) and then each time you return to the site, your postcode will be entered automatically.

Which Area

Click on the "Which Area" link at top left of the search area (coloured grey) to tell us the area in which you want us to find you activities and events.

A window will open where you can provide your own post code or the post code of any location that will be the base for the search. (more about your Post Code)

Alternatively you can choose a town that can be used as the base for the search.

By default we will search for activities and events within 10 miles of your selected base, however you can change the range to 5, 20, 30 or 40 miles.

Should you wish to search the complete area then make no selection in "Which Area" window.

Once you have entered your required dates then select OK button to continue

The selection you have made will appear in red beneath the "Which Area" Link. This will remain a search criteria for the search and continue to be displayed in red until you change it or reset the search

Itinerary

The Itinerary enables you to select a number of activities of interest to you which you can send to yourself or your friends as an email or just hold the details for a later date

To add an entry to your itinerary, click on the altdesc icon displayed in the entry you have selected. This will change the icon to altdesc . Once selected this item will continue to be included in your itinerary when you make further searches.

To remove an entry from your itinerary, select and click on altdesc against the item and it will revert back to altdesc.

Clicking on the Itinerary Link in the main menu will replace your current selection with the items you have selected for your itinerary.

To view the itinerary you must be logged in (more on logging in)

Four Buttons will be shown above the content of your Itinerary

You can send full details of the entries in your itinerary in the form of an email to up to two friends , by selecting the "Send to a Friend" button. You will also be able add a personal message to be included in the email.

To send full details of the entries in your itinerary to your own e-mail address, select the "Send to me" button

Items will remain in your itinerary for a period of 28 days or until the dates in the entry are no longer current.

Whilst viewing the itinerary you can remove any item from your itinerary by selecting the relevant icon which will revert back to . Select the "Refresh" button and the items you wish to delete will disappear.

Should you wish to clear all items from your itinerary then select the "Clear" button
