Haven Banks Outdoor Education Centre

Outdoor Education Centre is situated in Exeter on the canal and specialises in activity-based courses for all ages and abilities. The Centre is approved by BCU and RYA. Activities offered include canoeing, sailing, windsurfing, caving, climbing and orienteering. Raft building and problem solving are other popular pursuits. Overnight camps by canoe along the canal and residential visits at Exeter Youth Hostel are additional options. Transport can be provided for groups resident elsewhere, or for off-site activities. Totnes Canoe Club

Totnes Canoe Club is a small, informal group of recreational paddlers. Our main interests are white-water kayaking, surfing and sea kayaking, although we do have some open canoeists amongst our members. We are privileged to have some great river estuaries and beautiful coastline within easy reach, and in the river Dart we have probably the best white-water river in the south of England. The Exe, Tamar, Barle and other rivers in the area are also worth visiting. The south coast of Devon is not noted for surf but occasionally Bantham will produce good surfing, while North Devon and North Cornwalls excellent surfing beaches are not far away.Each month we have a practice session at Totnes Pavilions swimming pool on the last Saturday of the month, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This is a good time to come along and meet the club members.
